Archiperspective’2020


“Archiperspective” is a national competition of student art creativity held annually since 2006 at the Ural State University of Architecture and Art in Ekaterinburg, Russia, together with the Russian Academy of Art.

"Archiperspective" is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of higher-education and secondary vocational education institutions irrespective of specialism in the nominations "Graphics", "Painting", "Applied Decorative Arts and Crafts", and «Photography Art».

The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of universities, colleges and vocational schools of any subject area. Submissions can be in any of the following nominations: «Graphics», «Painting», «Applied Decorative Art», «Photography».

All entries should be participants’ own creative works. Participation is free of charge.

1. Artistic expressiveness
2.Originality
3.Mastery of art technique and materials

Competition procedures

Participants should submit digital photographs of their artworks having registered online.

One participants can submit no more than 3 artworks in each nomination:
1. Painting – format А1 maximum
2. Graphics – format А1 maximum
3. Applied arts: textiles, jewelry, installations, ceramics, etc.
4. Photography.

When registering for the competition, the participant should identify his/her status: «profi» or «amateur» in accordance with the subject area of their course of study. The status of ‘profi’ is reserved for educational institutions whose curricula include such disciplines as «Freehand drawing», «Painting», «Art composition», etc. Otherwise the status is that of amateur.

The deadline for applications is 15 February to 22 March 2020 on line at https://vk.com/archiperspektiva. Registration will be closed automatically on 22.03.2020 at 24-00.

The application should be accompanied with the attachments of artwork photos in the nominations «Painting», «Graphics», «Applied Decorative Art» or «Photography». 3D applied artworks (sculpture, adornments) should be photographed against white background (white artworks against grey background). Please avoid reflections and glare when shooting graphics and paintings. Photos should be good quality in jpg format with files not exceeding 3 Мb and drawn up in a passe-partout. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse to accept for competitions works of low artistic quality or abusive content.

All registered participants whose artworks will be accepted for competition will be awarded certificates of participation. All competition entries and certificates of participation will be available for viewing and downloading. The jury will select the best entries in each nomination. The list of the best entries and winners diplomas will be posted and available for downloading from 1 April 2020.

The best entries will be exhibited during the Night of Museums on 16-17 May 2020 at the exhibition hall of the Ural Design Centre (4A Gorky Street, Ekaterinburg). Participants submitting their artworks in materials to the exhibition will be awarded diplomas. They will participate in the final round of the competition in which winners will be determined in each nomination.

The participants of the exhibition will be able to attend master classes, the list of which and prices will be posted by 30 April 2020.
